Throughout history the oak tree has been held in high esteem by ancient civilisations.
To the Greeks, Romans and Celts, the oak was one of the foremost venerated trees and was seen as sacred to Zeus, Jupiter and Thor.
The Druids frequently worshipped and practised their rites in oak groves and the word Druid may even be derived from a Celtic word meaning “knower of the oak tree”.
‘White Oak With Serpentine’ is a stunning ring, hand fabricated from thick sterling silver.
Detailed with two oak leaves which have been hand engraved and meticulously hand cut from sterling silver, the band is also deeply textured by hand.
The ring is set with a stunning fancy cut Serpentine.
The silver has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that will lighten with wear.
The ring is given a coat of lacquer and then a microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
