Description

Inspired by the vixen who visits my garden every evening and is currently calling for her mate, this statement piece features a red fox trotting purposefully along the edge of the woods, focused on getting home to her cubs.
Every element of this pendant is constructed from meticulously hand cut layers of sterling silver, with hand engraved textures and fur.
A crescent moon decorates the bail and tiny hand made dandelion clocks are featured in the grass at the forefront of the piece.

‘Homeward Bound’ hangs from one of my ‘Unity’ paper clip style chains finished with a handmade clasp.
The silver has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can lighten with wear. I give all oxidised areas a coat of sealing lacquer and then microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
