A resting fox gazes up at the crescent moon.
This statement pendant is entirely handmade from sustainably sourced, recycled sterling silver.
The fox is constructed from four separate layers of silver and is detailed with hand engraved fur.
The texture of the large crescent moon has been created by reticulating the sustainably sourced sterling silver. Reticulation is a silversmithing technique which involves heating and cooling the silver multiple times in order to achieve a unique surface texture, which means no two pieces of reticulated silver are alike.
Throughout history, the moon has been a symbol of femininity, mystery, renewal and transformation.

‘The Fox And The Moon’ is attached to a sterling silver long box chain, finished with my handmade fixings. This chain can be worn at 18″, 20″ or 22″
The silver has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can lighten with wear. I give all oxidised areas a coat of sealing lacquer and then microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
