A cute silver badger waits with anticipation beneath the night sky, a 9 carat solid gold crescent moon lighting his way.
Inspired by the badgers who visit my garden, this pendant captures the inquisitive way they listen and sniff the air, sensing someone is near. Because their eyesight is poor, they rely heavily on these senses.
Created from four layers of meticulously hand cut sterling silver, this beautiful badger is also hand engraved with a fur like textured. He sits on a ‘night sky’, thick sterling silver circlet.
‘Badger By Moonlight’ hangs from one of my ‘Spirit’ chains – a substantial sterling silver chain finished with one of my hand made clasps.
The pendant and chain have been oxidised and lightly brushed to a satin finish. They are waxed with a microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can continue to lighten with wear.

As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
