A unique handmade sterling silver necklace depicting a partial Solar Eclipse.
The sun peaks out from behind a stunning crescent moon Labradorite gemstone, set in a silver setting.
In certain light this stone has the most amazing colours, with shades of blue, gold and brown.
The reverse of the necklace is detailed with three pierced stars which allow the lovely hues of the Labradorite to show through. 

The silver has been oxidised, highlighted and polished. Oxidisation is a surface treatment which will lighten with wear.
All oxidised areas are given a coat of sealing lacquer and then microcrystalline wax to help protect the darkened surface.
‘Eclipsed’ hangs from one of my  ‘Unity’ silver paper-clip style chains finished with one of my  silver fixings.

As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the necklace coming apart or getting lost.
