‘The Moon Gazing Hare’ – another in my series of unique silver and glass bottle pendants. 
A hare sits among the cow parsley, gazing up to the crescent moon, above her is a standing stone of uncut, raw crystal quartz. Quartz has long been  associated with clarity of thought, focus, and decision-making. It is believed to aid concentration, strengthen memory, and foster insight.

Each element of the silverwork has been meticulously hand pierced from sterling silver and hand formed and soldered.
The sterling silver cap contains a plastic thread which screws onto the glass bottle.
‘The Moon Gazing Hare’ hangs from an 18″ sterling silver chain, finished with handmade fixings.
The silver has been textured and hand engraved, oxidised and highlighted. 
Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can lighten with wear. All oxidised areas are given a coat of sealing lacquer and microcrystalline wax to help protect the darkened surface.

Your glass bottle can be filled with special tiny treasures, from a lock of hair, small crystals, sand from your favourite beach, or dried petals from a special flower.
Each bottle also comes with a rollerball insert which also makes the bottle suitable for perfume or essential oils.
