A unique pendant depicting a soaring dragon soaring across the moon.
Entirely hand crafted in high-quality sterling silver, the highly polished dragon contrasts strikingly with the dark, textured moon.
The full moon has been created using the traditional silversmithing technique of fusing, where silver is heated to the highest temperature before it completely melts. Silver dust is fused to the surface creating a unique texture.
Throughout history, the moon has been a symbol of femininity, mystery, renewal and transformation.

The dragon has  been meticulously hand cut from silver sheet and soldered in place.
‘Soaring Dragon’ hangs from a 20″ sterling silver chain which is finished with my handmade fixings.
The pendant has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can lighten with wear. I give all oxidised areas a coat of sealing lacquer and then microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the pendant coming apart or getting lost.
