The Blue Whale is the Leviathan of the oceans and this unique necklace pays homage to these amazing creatures, the largest living animals in the world!
Constructed from three layers of meticulously hand pierced silver, the whale is also hand engraved and detailed with hand embelished texture.  
Set on a silver circlet, he leaps above a silver wave set with a stunning sea-blue Larimar. Larimar is exclusively found in the Dominican Republic and is known for its exquisite Caribbean-sea-blue hues and distinctive marbling. It is believed to help promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, by reducing stress and restoring balance within the mind and body. The closure of the only Larimar mine in 2021 has led to Larimar becoming increasingly scarce and sought after.

The silver has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that will lighten with wear. I give all oxidised areas a layer of lacquer followed by microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.

‘Leviathan’ hangs from one of my 18″ Unity sterling silver chains, finished with one of my handmade fixings. If you would prefer a different length of chain, please contact me.
