A small yet detailed raven pendant constructed from sterling and fine silver.
The raven sits on a branch, set on a silver circlet detailed with tiny leaves.
The silver has been darkened, or oxidised, and then highlighted, sealed and waxed.
Oxidisation is a chemical surface treatment much like the natural oxidisation silver undergoes with time. Oxidisation will lighten with wear, so all oxidised pieces are given a coating of sealing lacquer and a layer of microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
‘Raven’s Call’ comes with an 18″ sterling silver chain finished with one of my handmade clasps.
As with all of my pieces, each and every jump ring is soldered closed to prevent any piece of the necklace coming apart or getting lost.
