Who doesn’t love an elephant! I love them so much my bedroom walls are decorated with terracotta elephant wallpaper!
This cute elephant necklace has been handmade from a mix of fine and sterling silver.
He is decorated with hanging garnet beads which give a lovely movement to the necklace.
The silver been oxidised, or darkened, and then highlighted to accentuate the details.
Oxidised areas are treated with a special lacquer and then waxed with a microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that can lighten with wear.
‘The Garnet Elephant’ hangs from an 18″ sterling silver rolo 2 chain detailed with four wire wrapped garnet beads and which is finished with my handmade clasps.

Size – approximately 16 x 60 mm to bottom of beads
Materials – sustainably sourced, recycled sterling silver and fine silver
Gemstones – approximately ten 3mm garnet beads
Chain – approx 18″ recycled sterling silver rolo 2 chain
