A truly unique silver necklace set with a cruelty-free ‘bear claw’.
The ‘claw’ has been hand carved by me from a material often referred to as ‘vegan ivory. This is an ethical, plant-based material that has the same carving characteristics as animal ivory. 
The ancient Elder Futhark rune, Wunjo, has been carved into the surface of the ‘claw’. This rune symbolises joy, happiness and harmony. It represents a period of good fortune, positive feelings and of things coming together.
The ‘claw’ setting is handmade from thick sterling silver with hand made, thick twisted silver wire.
The necklace hangs from an 18″ sterling silver chain. 
The silver has been oxidised and polished. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that lightens with wear. I give all oxidised pieces a layer of microcrystalline wax to help protect the oxidised surface.
