Far below the waves, where sunlight can no longer reach, sperm whales drift into a peaceful sleep. They rest together in silence, suspended upright in the deep, trusting the ocean to carry them until it’s time to wake once more.

Each whale has been entirely handmade from sustainably sourced sterling silver. Their bodies are pierced with tiny moons and stars, each one carefully hand cut from layers of silver to create depth.

The earring hooks are soldered on to the whales to prevent any part coming apart and getting lost.
The silver has been oxidised and highlighted. Oxidisation is a surface treatment that will lighten with wear. I give the silver a coat of lacquer to help protect the oxidised surface.
These unique earrings are a comfortable weight to wear all day.
